New ‘exotic’ tick invades NC, and it’s an ‘aggressive biter.’ How far has it spread?

A species of East Asian tick has found its way to N.C. The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports it found the Longhorned tick on an opossum in Polk County and fears the bug will spread quickly.
